Injection Options
There are many injections that are done in an attempt to decrease a person’s particular pain pattern. The majority of these procedures are steroid based whereas we inject a anti-inflammatory steroid in or around the areas that are responsible for your pain. Sometimes these injections are done in a series or as a single procedure. We usually do one thing at a time, evaluate your response to that treatment, then do more if we have to. We also offer IV conscious sedation if your insurance allows.
Some of the more common procedures include (click on name to view detailed description):
- Epidural steroid injections (Cervical, Thoracic, Lumbar, Caudal)
- Lumbar sympathetic blocks
- Facet nerve blocks
- Nerve root blocks
- RFL/Rhizotomy of the painful joints (safe thermal procedure for painful joints)
- Trigger point injections (soft tissue)
Most procedures are extremely low risk and safe. Many are done under X-Ray guidance to achieve the most accurate and optimal results.
